PC GAMES BACKUP...

Please i know it may sound stupid but i can never copy games completely, whenever i do it i always have to get a crack and even then sometimes it doesnt work because i cannot install the game from the cd!!! please could someone tell me the best way to copy pc games, step by step would be the best thing 4 me EVER!
