Use a small chunk size if you're on a low amount of RAM otherwise your PC will crash.

On newer XTools use -lm param.

Does lm mean 'limited memory' ?
Its merely just a guess.

if not i would like to know what does it do.

You only need to use it if you are on a machine with low amounts of RAM, e.g. 16GB,

I use 64GB with a 256mb chunk size, no issues.
