Any one can enlighten me on this??

I've got the PAL version of PS2, its like 30004 R.. It comes wif the usb s-box and AR2 Version 2

I'm getting confuse here, is this a so call version 5 board? or a version 4 board? there's only 8 screws.

Anyway, I'm using the USB s-box. So is this a neo chip or something else?

I've can only play PS2 & PS1 CD backups. Is there anyway i can play a NSTC DVD backup?

The faq @ mod-chip.com was saying that i can boot up PS1 backup without the AR2 V2 Boot disk, however i can't get it to work? any suggestions? the only way i can boot up is using the AR2 disc.

Please advice me on wat mod chip should i get now so that i can play all of the imported DVD backups, PS2 and PS1 CD Backup. Is the messiah from easybuy2000 really exist? or Neo 4 or something?

Thanks for all your advice

Try a origa-chip. Messiah is to hard to get not to mention people have been complaining about easybuy2000.com. Remove the expansion bay cover on the PS2, if you have 2 screws then its a v4, 3 screws is a v5. If the s-box is installed and working correctly it should load psx originals and backups without the use of the AR2.

Hi mate, I've opened up the expansion slots and i don't know what screws are you talking about. What I only see is the 2 small silver screws just below the connector in the expansion slot. Are these the 2 screws that you refer to? There is also a small gloden screw at the top left corner.

So am I right to presume that mine is a version 5 PS2?

Thanks Mate
