Can you copy Diablo 2 with clone so no crack is needed?

Even with this l33t Nimbus authentication stuff they're using for the three CDs?

I've tried the Subchannel Data thing with CloneCD and basically got a coaster when I tried copying the Diablo II install CD. Have you successfully copied all three disks so that they function for all purposes just like original media? If so, I'd really like to know how you did it. I've not found anyone yet who has managed to pull this off.
