There isn't a fix out there that I know of, but to play the original or a copy follow these steps.
Insert the cd and let it start. When it gets to the loading screen , the one with Marshall Faulk on it , open the door for a couple of seconds then close it . The game will continue to load slowly, about 90 seconds, and then it will play
normally. This works on most 989 games. Good luck !
