Sorry, but I don't really understand what problem you are having. If you can give me more details, may be I can help you better.
1- how big is the edonkeypack.zip you got and what files are contained in the zip. (You may be getting a patch instead of a game)
2- If you got those .001 files, you should use WinRAR to extract them. Also, just a 001 files will do no good for you. You must get all of the parts. Usually you will see a .sfv or .nfo file... these are information files and you can know how many parts you needed and what game you are downloading.
