ok here we go
with CDrwin you need to create a image file (bin file) to your hard drive and then burn back to the blank CD, if the game needs a patch applying to the image you need PPF-o-Matic to insert the patch into the bin file you have created. then you just simple burn back to your blank CD. With clonecd you simple doe the same but you don't need the patch as clonecd if 100% compatible with your writing drive will do an exact copy of the disk. if you goto www.megagames.com you will find tutorials. hope i have helped. |

The easiest way to burn a PSX disk is with CLONECD. Just put your ORIGINAL PSX game in your CD writer. Then open CLone and push the first picture in the list which is read CD to Hard drive. Then make sure that the 2 boxs are #####ed next to Read Subchannel audio and Subchannel Data, then click start or read and it will save it to your hard drive. (make sure you remember where you saved it to.. Default is C:\Windows\Temp so if you don't want it there change it before burning).. After reading is finished close Clonecd.. Reopen CLone and push the second picture or the Hard drive to Disk picture.. Then select your burn speed(I burn at 12x all the time but I have a new burner..creative 12x10x32). I recommend no more than 4x if your burner is not burnproof..Just click write and your done. Should make a perfectly good copy.. (don't test burn only takes longer).. If your PSX game requires a patch to work, then you need to get ppf o matic in the PSX Utilities section on megagames.com and make sure you install the one for your operating system. when you download it, inside the zip is the versions for each op system so if your running windows you want to unzip the ppfwin version. You should have a skull and crossbones application which is ppf o matic.. IT asks you for a .Bin file and .ppf file.. The .ppf file is your patch. When you download the patch it's in a zip file so unzip it and put the .ppf file somwhere you'll remember.. The .bin file is created by CDRWIN so you'll need a copy of this program as well. Click the 3rd picture which is Extract disk/sectors. On the new window make sure you have RAW #####ed,MCN/ISRC #####ed and IGNORE #####ed on read errors. The rest should stay at AUTO.. At the very top make sure you have Disk image/ Cuesheet #####ed and your reader is properly selected. For image filename just name it the same as the disk your trying to burn.. Just open MY COMPUTER and look at your drive and see what the name of the disk says and copy it EXACTly as it reads.. Most are Slu_ some number but some say the name. Like Madden_2001 or something like that. Anyways, then just click START and it will create your image.. .bin and .cue file.. So when your done.. Open PPF o Matic and browse to your .Bin file and browse to your .ppf file and click patch.. Should say OK now burn back to disk. I recommend you get a copy of FIREBURNER to burn back to disk as CDRWIN i have many problems with and personally just don't like except for reading my disks.. You can get it at ~####://www.elaboratebytes.com (just remove the ~ from the link first).. Then you click VISUAL CUE BURNER/BINCHUNKER. On the next screen you right click and LOAD CUE and browse to your .cue file and it loads it. Right click on the information it loads and go to BURN/TEST BURN.. On the next dialog is should have your burner selected, un##### TEST BURN,MULTISESSION, and write 12.. The others should be #####ed and then click BURN!! Your done... And it deffinitely won't be a coaster like CDRWIN usually produces. You can burn psx games with any program, you just need to know the correct settings.. And if it doesn't require patching, you can use EZ CD CReator 5.0 platinum just as good as any of the other praised ones.. (clone,cdrwin,etc).. Hope this helps and good luck!! I recommend a modchip for your psx as it's guaranteed to work and also USE YOUR WRITER TO READ As WELL AS BURN. It reads the data better...
