Spanned Disc question

Hey there, I am using a plug-mod and when the game asks me to insert disc 2 after I am done with disc 1, what should I do? In this case, with metal gear solid integral. Is a mod-chip the only way for me to get to disc 2? Thanks!

the way i found to get round this is to use the original disk then save game and go back to using the backup disk
