.... actually, here's Mondragon's conversion in full detail:

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (DVD9 to 1 DVD5) [English Only] (by Mondragon and Grumpy)

NOTE: The bulk of this conversion was created by mondragon, I have added a few extra steps for the conversion and the Update.

NOTE 2: If you have previously installed this game then before reinstalling, you may have to delete the original install directory!

1) Create a Temp folder on your hardrive.
Name this folder: R6VEGAS2. This will be the name (Label) of our DVD.

2) Copy all the contents of the DVD9 disc to the R6VEGAS2 folder.

3) Download THIS rar file and extract the contents to the R6VEGAS2 folder. Choose YES to overwrite any files when prompted.
The rar file contains the necessary files needed to split the data2.cab file into 2 separate files.
They will also remove some unnecessary Non English language files from the data2.cab file.
(Bat files created by mondragon. Other files also supplied by mondragon.)
NOTE: Files are also attached to the bottom of this post.

4) In the R6VEGAS2 folder is a dvd9to2xdvd5.bat file.
Double Click this dvd9to2xdvd5.bat file to start the Cab file splitting and file deletion process.
The process will convert the original data2.cab (size = 4,815,312 KB) into 2 separate cab files.
The new data2.cab file will have a size of 4,194,497 KB and the new data3.cab file will have a size of 120,012 KB

5) When the Cab splitting completes Delete the following files from the R6VEGAS2 folder:

00000000.256
00000001.TMP
00000002.TMP
CLEAN_.bat
dvd9to2xdvd5.bat
dvd9to2xdvd5.txt
ISCAB.exe
ISTools.dll
make_list.bat
MediaBuild40.dll

6) Open the ‘Support’ folder, then Open the ‘License’ folder and delete the following folders:

French
French (Canada)
German
Italian
Spanish

Whilst in the ‘License’ folder you can also Delete the following Punkbuster readme’s.

Punkbuster_EULA_NEW_FR.doc
Punkbuster_EULA_NEW_GER.doc
Punkbuster_EULA_NEW_IT.DOC
Punkbuster_EULA_NEW_POL.doc
Punkbuster_EULA_NEW_RU.doc

7) Open the ‘Support’ folder, then Open the ‘Manual’ folder and again delete the following folders:

French
French (Canada)
German
Italian
Spanish

8) Open the ‘Support’ folder, then Open the ‘ReadMe’ folder and again delete the following folders:

French
French (Canada)
German
Italian
Spanish

9) Using the Notepad open the setup.ini file, make the following changes, then Save it:

[Startup]
EnableLangDlg=Y

to

[Startup]
EnableLangDlg=N

And near the bottom of the setup.ini file change the following….

[Languages]
Default=0x0009
count=6
key0=0x0009
key1=0x0c0c
key2=0x040c
key3=0x0007
key4=0x0010

to

[Languages]
Default=0x0009
count=1
key0=0x0009

10) In the R6VEGAS2 folder, create another folder named: Update.
Download the v1.02 Update and extract the contents of the update to this Update folder.

11) Open the ‘Update’ folder then Open the ‘Binaries’ folder and Delete the following 2 folders:

SAFEDISK_POL
SAFEDISK_RUS

12) In the Update folder is another setup.ini file.
Again using the Notepad open the setup.ini file, make the following changes, then Save it:

[Startup]
EnableLangDlg=Y

to

[Startup]
EnableLangDlg=N

And near the bottom of the setup.ini file change the following….

[Languages]
Default=0x0009
count=6
key0=0x0009
key1=0x0c0c
key2=0x040c
key3=0x0007
key4=0x0010

to

[Languages]
Default=0x0009
count=1
key0=0x0009

13) In the R6VEGAS2 folder, create another folder named: Crack
Copy the v1.02 NoCD/DVD crack to this folder.
Use Winrar or any other compression program to rar the cracked exe. This will save approximately 20MB of needed space on the DVD.

14) Burn the contents of the Temp folder to a DVD with the Label: R6VEGAS2
NOTE: Due to the size of the Data2.cab file the DVD MUST be burnt as a UDF disc!

NOTE: I found it easier to leave the contents of the v1.02 Update un-rar’d (uncompressed) in the Update folder. That way once the game has been installed the Update exe can be run directly from the DVD.
However the v1.02 NoCD crack MUST be rar’d (compressed) to enable everything to fit on the DVD. Once the game has been installed, and updated, the Crack can be extracted to the correct installed location.
If you find any other language files in the Main game files or in the Update’s files DO NOT delete them! These other files MUST stay! Only Delete the files I have mentioned above!

Thanxx Grumpy for the files...

I would also like to add something. I included the latest 1.03 update in my conversion & instead of unpacking the "update" file I opened it with winrar & deleted/edited the files mentioned by you. I saved it & now I get a compressed update installer on the DVD...

This way enough space was left on the DVD to either unpack the crack or keep it rared along with original v1.0 .exe if anyone needs it...
