never had to delete all foriegn language files either, it compressed down to 2.33GB WITH the files there.

I changed the path obviously and i wrote how to do because i got this case and as you can see with other people there is something wrong. I'm trying to help people with my same problem and, since I resolved it, I can afford to help them.

I tested it with MULTI7 version and i can tell you that DVD5 is impossible without delete foreign languages.

And, finally, i extract precomp in the DVD5 folder and not in the base folder as you wrote. Since peterf use -o parameter, you force precomp to use this name for the output file ("pak000.sdpk2") and not the precomp default ("pak000.sdpk2.pcf")

no i dont think anyone is stupid for asking questions, easiest way to clarify something. It's a shame that the original poster doesnt provide MORE information then just very basic instruction set. Needs to provide more detailed instructions, so that all the questions that seem to come up is because of lack of information.

Looked thru base folder and deleting all foriegn lang files amounted to ~1.5mb, not much difference in size there. (Maybe you have different version ?)
