Wipeout 3: Special Edition Help NEEDED

I have the PAL version from Australia (SCES-02485) and have patched this game numerous times and it still won't read in either my PSX or windows 98 properly. (I have a Game Enhancer and no chip on a 1001 psx) It shows 14 .cda tracks the first track should read as a folder in win98 but it won't. I tried patch it, pal 4u2k and the BAD .ppf patches. I have cdrwin, nero, adaptec, clone cd and blind read. I tried the ecc regen app as well on pretty much all the images. I did try to burn wipeout 3 and that had the same problems. I of course patched them to NTSC mode. Is there something I missed or is it cdrwin has a habit of screwing up images?

Why are you patching a game that is not protected?
Just for the hell of it?

I have a 1001 Playstation (NTSC/UC) and WipeOut 3: Special Edition was only released in PAL.

Does your backup show the correct number of tracks in CDRWin?
If it doesn't then you may have registered it with a bad key.
CDRWin will only burn coasters if you do this.
Pal4u does not even list Wipeout 3 Special as a game you can apply it to.
Also have you ever succesfully burnt patched games before, as you may have one of those burners that cannot burn them correctly?

I got several serials and keymakers. So I can't really point the finger to which one right now but I am certain it was a keymaker for the wrong version I have 3.8d and was using a 4.0 beta crack. Doh!

OK we got a working patch. I uninstalled cdrwin and re-installed it to use it in demo mode and guess what. The bitch works now. The key maker in question was labeled for use with 3.8d but when you try to crack it the filesize it looks for is incorrect. So no cracking this one with the crack by DMX. So i figure I use a keymaker for 4.0beta that I thought unlocked it. But no. After about a bar sized amount of coasters and a few posts here I now have a working PAL to NTSC WipeOut 3: Special Edition. I used the PAL4U 2000 and ECC regen. Patch-it! did not work. I don't know if I patched it right but all I know is that I can read it in Windoze and won't play in my PSX. I figure it must have been a backwards ass patch. Well anyway thats enough burning at 1x for one day. Thanks BOT-CK for the heads up. Ill keep you posted.

Seems to be something strange with this WipeOut serie........My original (!) NTSC version of Wipe3Out doesn't run on my chipped PAL psx (no problem with any other NTSC originals .......). Stops after crossing the first blue line in the first track........ Patched it with a NTSC-2-PAL patch: nada! Patch was oke, could choose between PAL and NTSC but the damned thing stopped after the intro! does it maybe have a modchip detector and is there a way to solve this?? Couldn't find any other patch.
