Is that possible that for PS2 to play ps1 back ups?

i installed the mod chip,and I tried several methods. it still not working.
my ps2 only boot oorignals. can somebody help me out with it?

Did you use a real neo2 chip? I used it here and it works for me. I only put the ps1 backup in the tray and then reset the ps2 and then the game will boot normaly.

sounds like a bad chip or a bad install. Who did you get the chip from?? Hope it was'nt www.modchip.com.
