a year old topic but i thought i reply anyway
most of those options you should be able to work out yourself, sound 0 1 should be self-explanatory (On/Off) unlike snes most sega game didn't come with battery backed up SRAM, so if it's grayed out most likely the game doesn't support it. Sonic 3 does have it, so you will be able to save the game. .bin are dreamcast executables and they can be ignored...
