Final Fantasy VIII

Okay, gang, major problem here.

I've installed and re-installed the game. When I try to play it, it tells me constantly that I have the wrong disc inserted and to insert disc 1. My game is an original commercial version, so it makes no sense the the program won't run.

Any suggestions how to get this program to run as it's supposed to before I bother anyone at EA about it?
