Far Cry 2 freezes at loading screens

I didnt see these posts way back, but if your still around and have problems still, your sound card driver was WDM which is microsofts driver and not driver from creative.

I still have the WDM right next to the device and i got the drivers from creative. So if you have a better idea, please share.

i had the problem with the loading screen freezing and all


i fixed it by turning off the music in the game,
and in the network options i turned off 'scan free ports' and 'detect public address'
i have no idea what they do but it seemed to work.

maybe give that a shot.

it seems that this game has a lot of issues. im having this problem as well.
