read the crack instructions!
copy the needed dirs from the cd to the game install dir and it should be fixed

READ THE README / *.NFO FILE!
Play Instructions:
Install the game - Full Installation.
Apply the official NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 v242 Patch.
Replace the original NFSHP2.EXE file with the one from the File Archive.
Copy the following directories from the CD to the game directory:
actors
AI
Audio
Cars
Movies
Particle
Tracks
Play the Game!


Have you realy make all this in order and right place??

If all it's maked clear, than try to use an older video driver like nvidia 80.82 if you have nvidia chip.

Yes, you need the no-CD/fixed EXE by DiNO-BYTES. The fixed EXE's only allow you to use a backup CD but you still need a CD as the game reads many files from there. With a no-CD, the files are searched for on the hard disk instead, that's why you have to copy them there manually.

I've just tested the game with this no-CD: it works, even with the very latest nVidia v180.46 drivers, although, for some cars (in some screen resolutions?), the RPM/speed gauges are missing from the HUD.
