i would not do it myself .....the wires on the main board are easy but the 2 wires that go next to each other on the dvd unit are the tricky ones...
if you know someone who is very good with a soldering iron your ok ...... i took mine to www.playstationmods.com ...where they installed it for me...best thing i ever did...
