FIFA 2009 Multi lang to one ENGLISH dvd5
1) Copy game to temp folder
2) Delete files:
for english language:

alocale\pcc_dutp.vp6
alocale\pcc_frep.vp6
alocale\pcc_gerp.vp6  
alocale\pcc_itap.vp6
data\audio\dat_dut.big
data\audio\dat_fre.big
data\audio\dat_ger.big 
data\audio\dat_ita.big

and replace all deleted files with faked [empty files] with the same name

3) Burn with volumelabel - FIFA09

NOTE:
remeber to replace deleted files

additional u can delete file: but that files are small

if u want other language than english, delete english files [usually *eng* in name ]
for example dat_eng.big, pcc_engn.vp6 and other files that not belongs to your choose language

to save 54 mb free space use cdimage with some nice option to save doubled files only once [attr_p.vp6, attrf_p.vp6 - the same]

i still prefer to replace deleted files with faked ,
that skip any other additional editing
install/uninstsall fine [i dont have uninstall option under start menu?]

full backup is easy to do
go to file table, sort by filesize and change for few file sequence to biggest number that available already
go to media tables and add row

i noticed that #neutral1.cab so i grabbed autorun.dat from link provided hard worker

This is similar with mercenaries 2 with embedded mst files and when changing so much media tablets these mst's wont work

I did your english dvd5 method :
deleted and replaced with fake files the other languaghs as you described,
I didn't touched the directx files .

Installed the game without problems

Playing without problems
