PSX copying and Nero 5.0 HELP!!

I USE NERO TO COPY GAMES THAT DON'T NEED PATCHING AND IT WORKS FINE EVEN AT 8X...WRITE. I ONLY USE CDRWIN WITH GAMES THAT NEED PATCHING BECUASE IT DOESNT WORK WITH MY FASTER WRITER, I GET 'UNABLE TO START DAO RECORDING, UNABLE TO SET WRITING MODE..' ANYONE KNOW WHY THAT IS??
