Copying CD

I recently bought Battle for Middle Earth 2. I am trying to copy it - the install disks, play disk everything. Could i just copy the information on a CD and if i ever lose the original or have a computer freeze and lose info re install it and be able to play it with my back up disks - if not what is the best method to do so?

Start with the backup guides listed in the PC Games forum FAQ.

@Caduris

Instead of creating CD backups there is a much easier way, do a CD2DVD conversion. Convert your CD's to a single DVD.

1) Create a Temp folder on your harddrive.
Name this folder: BFME_2_DVD. This will be the name (Label) of our DVD.

2) Copy all the contents from the CD’s, starting with CD6 down to CD1, to the Temp folder. Overwrite any files if prompted.

3) Create another folder/s for any Updates, Serial, Patches and or Cracks etc.
NOTE: Name this/these folder/s whatever you want.

4) Open the ‘common_filelist.txt’ file with notepad and change all the sets of numbers at the beginning of each line so they are 1,1 instead of 2,1 - 3,1 etc. Then save the changes!

5) Burn the contents of the Temp folder to a DVD with the Label: BFME_2_DVD

NOTE: The game will install from the created DVD but it wont play from the DVD, just use a NoCD crack to play the game. Include the NoCD crack on the DVD (step 3).

You can find a lot of other CD2DVD conversion HERE or see my signature for a link to cd-2-dvd.com.

Alcohol 120% and Blindwrite are good; perhaps Alcohol 52% (free) should be fine, too. Mini Image Ripper is obsolete. What is Play Backup? For hiding, use Y.A.S.U. as it's the latest, others are obsolete.
