Its just unfortunate for the OP (original poster) that he has a problem, PC games are hard to predict compatibility even when your system is kick ass. So many combinations and the likes make it hard to spot any problems, but thats when end users are helpful, they let the developers know what they have in their systems and the problem faced, and they go ahead and find the fix for it for the next patch.
But I have heard that Crysis hates certain SATA raid drivers and when it tries to access a Sata HD too quickly beyond its means, obviously the system cant cope and will crash the game. It is another avenue to consider if you have a SATA or SATA II HD.

My suggestion was based on that the original poster wrote that only by swapping the video card the game stopped working properly. (At least, that's how I understood it.)
