Am not sure why you are having this problem, normally the process just goes straight through in about 2 minutes, then there's a reboot, then you have a JVC writer that can copy anything.
Please post details on the files you got from the JVC site, in case they have changed since I did this, include filenames, date stamps and any version numbers you can get. If they are different I will e-mail or post somewhere the files I have used, so you can try them.
