re patching

ie after succesfully patching a game a new patch comes out with trainers in it

I patched parasite eve 2 and it crashed on the second level everytime and alway's at the same spot, i downloaded another patch and applied it just like i did the first and i've had no problems since.
the second patch i applied must have overwritten the previous one.
