because... after the release of Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts, Relic (the developer) decide to upgrade the original Company of Heroes to allow their owners to play on-line with those having the newest one.
So, there's a patch for Company of Heroes (1.71 to 2.101) to match Opposing Front version and this patch comes with Securom and CD Check. That's the reason behind the crack on GCW.
