Thanks Nightstalker and Charlie. I'll let my friend know that he can play dvd-r backups after all. Of cousre when I get my playstation this xmas I'll try to go for a messiah chip. I've been comparing it with the neo 4 and it seems like 100% better. Just hope it comes out soon. Hey! can one you explain the diffrence between a dvd rip and a dvd-r? thanks guys

the messiah lite is out i got one

dvdr is a 1:1 backup u need dvdwriter
dvd rip is dvd with music fmv taken out
dvd checks removed then saved to cd
is alot of work not always will it boot
