No performance loss. Only problems I've encountered with steam are:
a) activation wouldn't work (for Bioshock. Altho I guess thats Sony's fault). b) patches are 1-2 days late (Company of heroes...) But other than that, I recommend you go for it, especially if you have the bandwidth

I have the bandwidth.
But as you say in point 1. No performance loss. - No kind of gain either? Perfectly equal?
