The Witcher - Problem with Mini-Image

You mean the "hide cd-r" option in emulation?I try this and don´t work...Shit!!!!...I hate this game!!!!

Those emulations are solely needed for burned copies, not for mounted images.

doesn't work for me either.

I did create a IDE virtual Drive with DT Pro Adv 4.10.0128 and tried to mount the poseden-Image. Emulation-Options are all ON...

Well, so we just have to wait...

There is one thing that i can´t understand...Why when i mount the mini-image on DT pro advanced apears a message telling that it´s a "empty cd"?
I don´t understand what is wrong...

You are mounting to an scsi drive. You need to have Daemon Tools 4.1 full version, ie NOT the free one, and mount to an IDE drive. Also, you cannot use XP64, any other windows xp or vista should work fine.

I think I know what was wrong with DTadv...

When you right click on the systray icon, and go into the virtual cd/dvdrom, look, you must just have a [scsi] drive, and the add ide drive is gray.

You have to double click on the icon, and in the main window, add an IDE drive. Then windows need to set up some thing, and the ide drive will be created.

I am not shure but i think the mini isnt working very well i made an image from my original dvd and simply mounted that image. It takes some space but it deos the job :-p

Funny that since the mini-image or full image I made wouldnt work without the Tages emulation on.

1. Mount image in Daemon Tools pro
a) Install Daemon Tools Pro.
b) Copy the patch to folder where you install DTP and patch it
c) Copy dtpro.dat from
Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/DAEMON Tools Pro
to
Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/DAEMON Tools Pro (???)
d) Run Daemon Tools Pro Agent and make virtual IDE drive.
2. Install the game.
3. After installation mount a mini-image. Make sure that you click all emulations ON.
4. Install the 1.1 patch.
5. Play.

Well, it works perfectly for me.

If it really only works for you with RMPS enabled it's not logical.
RMPS emulation is only needed for (surprise ) RMPS-copies burnt with Alcohol 120%

U dont need waiting for a crack if u want to play with latest patch, just do this:

Ok i managed to make this game working with Patch 1.1

All u have to do is:

-1- apply 1.1 Patch (backup savegames if u want)
-1- go to gamecopyworld.com, and dowload their CD image NetShow-TW_SS
-2- download Daemon Tools Pro Advanced Edition V. 4.10.0218 from here
-3- apply all 4 images in Virtual IDE CD in fallowing order (set all emulation on <green SafeDisc, SecuRom etc..)

a) NS-TW_SS-poseden.mdf
b ) NS-TW_SS-poseden.mds

then

c) ptn-twit.mdf
d) ptn-twit.mds

-4- double click TheWitcher in Virtual CD/DVD Devices, then choose ptn-twit.mds
-5- lounch game.

Maybe its simplier way to get this to work, but this is working for me. Im using XP 32 bit proffesional, dont know about other platforms, sorry.

Yeah thats what I made the image from :P

I dont like DT's way of making one.

So that would explain that then hehehe
