the problem im having is, i can not create a virtual IDE drive on windowsXP x64.

dtools pro advanced:
Note:

1. vIDE is currently supported on all 32 bit platforms (x86) and on Windows
Vista x64; Windows XP x64 and Windows 2003 x64 are not supported;
2. Shell extensions do not appear on x64 platforms;




anyone know any other proggys that can create a virtual IDE drive xpX64?

I can confirm that this mini image works in windows xp32 using a virtual ide drive in DT4.1 pro with the 1.1 patch\hotfix of the witcher. I looked around a bit and couldnt find an alternative to DT4.1, and it unfortunately doesnt get along with xp64 as far as a virtual ide drive is concerned.

Hi, I've got a problem too. I've made a copy of Wiedźmin (The Witcher) and I tried to use the dvd image provided by GameCopyWorld. First I had some problems with DT - crashes occured several times when I tried to add an IDE device but now its ok. Nevertheles I still cant lunch the game without my original DVD.

Is there a way to use this multilanguage release with my polish-only instalation? Is anybody working at polish version now?

Crack is always postponed. IMHO mini-image is also better cuz you don't have to change any files and have no problems when patching. And I experienced several times lacks of updated cracked exes.

For "my" copy I would be glad to have polish mini-image.

Maybe the same group could make me one

guess im gonna have to put the disc in the dvd drive eh?

The problem ppl have is that they use the "DT Pro" application to run it.
What you need is the "DT Pro Advance" application that hase the IDE option in it.

You can set the IDE drive by opening the Daemon Tool Pro menu and going to tools --> Virtual Device Manager, here you can press "start IDE adapter"

Anyhow it toke me a few hours to figure this out since all the read me files says you need to have just "DT Pro 4.10" and not that the IDE option only comes with the Advanced version.

I install the Daemon Tools Pro Advanced 4.10 in my Pc and create a IDE virtual device but when i mount the game image it doesn´t work (still asking the original dvd) maybe this is happens because i have the Windows XP Profesional edition with the service pack 2 and i think this version of Daemon don´t work on this operating system...What can i do?There is another program with i can create a ide virtual device?I´m really frustrated with this game...arghhhhhh!!!!!
