Questions bout burnin wit clonecd

i just got psx for xmas YAY! and have few questions bout burnin,

- Is it true burning with clonecd makes exact copies.. like any one here used it or done it, and does it need patchin if done this way...

- what is ntsc and pal im confused?!?!?
site explaining this would help! and in lamens terms plz!!

supposedly if u can set the "dont repair sub channel data on the write options it supposed to do a 1:1 copy but with new games they check for modchips and then crash so that wouldnt help as even originals wont work.

ntsc and pal are video modes usa & jap use ntsc video modes and europe uses pal (use a scart lead and u will be able to play on both)

icopy all my psx and pc using this program copied about 50 psx with no problems i have a ps one and have used the boot disk on about 6 of these not sure about protected disks althougth i am going to try to burn medievil 2 tonight which i think is protected only settings i use are ignore read errors and fast error skip on and burn at 2x
