Just for ur info.- i bought keygen - installed with friends disks - ran game - went online played for a bit - all working good - friend took discs back home with him and now i cant start the game - thats why i wrote the post - If the cdkey was keygen'ed it even bypassed EA account !!

Im NOT trying to get a cracked BF2142 to run- I just need that game to start ok? - I could just use a nocd if that was the case

I doubt everyone here bought the game for the same price - some more expensive when it first came out, or the ppl that bought it for alot less when the game became old - presumably it would be cheaper if all the 'package' contained a online Genuine unique cdkey, instead of discs,box manuals packaging etc... Ur concerned that i may have paid less than what u did?

Rule #1 states:

Warez means not having the original CD/DVD

As you do not own an original Disc for this game you are violating our number 1 Rule!!

let me deal with that with EA

Yes contacting EA is what you now need to do!
Explain to them you do not own an original purchased version of the discs! Explain to them how you got your CD Key.
See what they have to say about the legalities of your purchase!
