Colin McRae Dirt - Issue with ATi 9500 Pro

Thanks acal3000 for your reply.
The game wont run at all. error is reported by a message immediately after clicking dirt.exe
Game has safe mode option, but it wont run either.
No .ini or .cfg files either. There are some .xml files, but no relevant information is present.
Any other options i can try?
