In case anyone still struggles with this game, I used a program called WinPack v3.0 beta to extract the contents of the patch and then manually copied the files to my game dir.

100% run on xp
POP3d 100% run on xp
magicdisc testme unsafedisc POP3D Patch v 2 [URL's removed!] Download 4 files .. Install Game... 1st of all run pop3d patch v2, then insert testme.exe in game folder.. Mount Disc 2 with magic disc and run game.. if it not load then use unsafedisc Mount Disc 2 with magic disc and run game.. I m playing here perfectly...
