I have a proper copy of the game and had problems getting it to run at first....turned out NTL netguard was the problem. Downloaded the auto update of the game and clicked on allow the .exe to communicate with the firewall and now the game plays fine.
Maybe worth disabling your anti-virus/firewall software when installing and playing the game. Would be nice to find a No-CD exe or similar as have to have the disc in the drive to run the game at present. No doubt Reloaded or similar will supply one in the coming weeks.
