Unfortunately if your card doesnt support Pixel Shader 3 then you wont be playing this game. There is no work around fix for it. You will need to buy a new card.  I am in exactly the same boat as you! Not that I am interested in this game but it does bother me that Ubisoft plan to go this way for all their future games.
