hey whats up guys well
i went and had chip installed but now having problems unless i am not doing it right i am following the 6 wire tray swap inst on ps2ownz but i put the gs 2 cd in i press the reset button to power it down then press and hold the reset button until the maim menu comes up and then i let go expecting the tray to open but it does not also now it does not boot my reg ps one back ups.
it goes to that red screen and says insert a ps disk.
did he not install it right he went to one of the sites and got the instructions but sure which because the chip did not come with instructions.
can you tell me where i need to go to get the exact booting instructions ince this is like a 2.2
and if booting right then tell me where i need to tell him to go to get the exact diagram to do the install right.
man this sucks if it not one thing is another.
well hope you guys can help me thk it load reg ps and ps2 games and stuff so i am not sure what he did.

Did he perhaps short pins 5&6 together? Symptoms fit. Diagrams are on the playstationmods.com site.

i would suggest you check the playstationmods website they have all the diagrams your need. some 30003 boards are actually version 4s so be very carefull.

I had the same problem when I first got my ps2 chipped. It turned out to be a chipping problem and I had to get my PS2 replaced. Fortunately I bought it chipped so had no problems swapping it.
Hopefully your problem can be fixed.
