Well this is the method that has been tested and works....
1. Run REGEDIT 2. Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices\ 3. Rename the DVD drive that is real and add the drive letter of daemon drive as shown in example below: \DosDevices\E.F: where E is my real DVD drive and F is the fake one. 4. Note that registry re-adds the correct drive labels on rebooting pc, other than that runs Yasu v1.4 and it works a treat.

Sadly the LAN/Mulitplayer bugs are still as bad as pre patched version.

Is there anything else you did besides this? Because I still get the error that i'm using emulation software. |

i get the same error, the game just crashes with or without YASU. one thing i managed to do was to to open virtual cd hide, and get past the emulation software detection but i get stuck after that because the game tells me a security module could not be activated... cannot help more than that
ps: tried everything posted here and couldnt get the game to work, wether it was 1.0 or 1.1... |

Oh I seeeeeeee So you saying the following "yeah , I was using YASU 1.04(YASU seem to do his job ..he just blind the securom)but i think the problem is in the mds itself or daemon tool. (Daemon 4.08HE_. it's the EMUDVD9 Mds. Now we got this message ''we need to insert the vegas retail cd''." Funny for someone not too knowledgable about things, you call your image EMUDVD9 which is amazingly the same as the Warez version. Wow, whats the chances of that huh! And perhaps you didnt pre-order and are just being a pillock ((hehe how ironic that sounds)) Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Bye! |

ok guys got it working for me at least
here are the steps: 1 do the regedit thingy, (renaming the cd drive etc etc) 2 disable optical drive 3 load the "real"(the one you used to install the game, not the poseden one) image through Dtools (mine is v4.08) 4 launch YASU 5 autorun the image, clik on play ![]() works for me... dont ask me how it works i was just trying and trying and it finally worked ![]() enjoy edit: my version of R6 is updated to 1.01 and i didnt set the compatibility mode to windows 2000 edit: missing a step will get you the usual error but if u then do everything right and re-launch you ll notice that it wont work.... the thing is that u can play one game per windows session... strange huh? each time i want to play i have to restart my box before that. so if u **** up u have to restart, and then repeat step 3 and 4. well u have to do it everytime u want to play, so if something doesnt work just restart then launch YASU, autorun etc Last edited by bof; 15-12-2006 at 22:49. |

Use latest WinRAR and, for maxi images, wait until the image (may be up to several Gigabytes!) is unpacked. (Read the forum FAQ.) If you cannot play the game without a crack, contact the publisher for help.

works for me
I tried the registry editor trick for renaming the dosdrive CD Rom, it worked perfectly fine for me. just make sure you have your real CD\DVD-rom in the first part, and the imaged one in the second part. I'm currently using it on the fixed image, I haven't tried the full sized one because I'm just glad it's working for me. I even made two reg files to go back and forth between the fix. Thanks Highwayman you H4x0r!

Then "as well as" instead of "instead of", okay?
