psx protection fix

i've d/l 2 patches for toca world touring cars, one created by BAD - lc4 protection fix and the other created by PDX - lc2 protection fix what is the difference and which one should i use??
any help appreciated.

I used the one by B.A.D. and it works fine....
I didn't try the other one....

I tried the libcrypt 2 patch and it worked, lc4 didn't.

I'm in Australia tho, and I was using Virtual Gamestation, not a real psx...
