Most popular game ever would have to be Space Invaders Part III. Wouldn't it?

BTW, Thread moved to the 'General Gaming' forum.

There can be only one game which is the best of all the time, and that's Planescape Torment!

But if you wanted to know the best selling game.. probably Tetris.

Best game? I would say Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night for PS1. :-)

The greatest game of all time is Elite.

It sparked off these days many many clones, like

X1,2,3
Darkstar One
Freelancer

Many more..

You should all bow down to the amazing game that is elite.

Also 3D construction set/Games made with it on the ZX48k/128k was a breakthrough, first true 3d games on an 8 bit machine. Which led to doom etc in years to come.

Red face

I can already hear you guys laugh, but as I've never really been into all the RTS and RPG games my favourite one would be Mafia
I've never seen a game more authentic (except for some of the AI-problems ^^) and fun to play, dunno...
I could have said HL2, but that's the usual stuff you cannot identify with since everyone would mention it as his/her favourite

Ah, I'm a huge PES fan, even tho a very crappy one with no skills at all, but that's cool for me Fun is the essential part, no need to win (for me)
