Please help me back up Soulreaver UK!!

Hi there, I'm new to backing up games.
I copied Legacy of Kain Soulreaver with CDclone and cdrwin and both times the copy would not play past the introduction. I then found the "Paradox" patch "pdx-sruk.exe" which I put in the directory with the .cue image, when I try to run it I just get a "cannot open ISO" message. I also tried using ppf-o-matic and that gives me a "not a ppf file" message.
Please could someone advise on what I am doing wrong and how to do it right?
Much thanks indeed
Sky

Make sure you have the right version patch for the right version game eg. your not using a uk protection patch for a us import.. Then copy the game to your hard drive using cdrwin. Open ppf-omatic click ppf file and find the patch then click bin file and find the game bin file it should be in the same directory as the cue file then click apply it should say patched successfully or somthing similar if it dosen't say that then don't burn onto disk or it will be a coaster..

i had the same problem. open the dos prompt from the patch and apply patch to the .bin file not the .cue file. should work fine after that.there isn't a ppf file so ppf o'matic is useless for this

Thanks for the replies guys.
I opened the patch to a dos window and entered the path of the bin file but it just says "not an ISO file" or words to that effect.
How can I know for sure whether it is an import or not? It says "made in Austia" on the disk itself, does that mean it's imported or just made there for the UK market?
And also am I doing the right thing by entering the path of the bin file into the dos window?
I'd sure like to get to the bottom of this!!
Thanks very much indeed!

You have probably sorted this but anyway,
put both .bin and.cue images in a separate folder along with the unzipped crack. then open windows explorer. highlight the .bin file, right click and rename "sr.iso" then open the patch and when it asks for the file path type "sr.iso" and hit enter. and hey presto it patches.
then go back to windows explorer and change the .iso file back to its original name and .bin ending.
hope that helps

ok guys. the soul reaver patch was dev befor ppf-matic. you need to copy the game to HD and then unzip all the patch files into this directory dont copy the .bin or .cue to another diectory else they wont match eachother.
then you open up the .exe patch file and it asks for the ISO file location. (this is the .bin file) so C:\games\soul.bin for example. then burn the cd
