If this is an older machine sounds like your laser need alignment correction or the laser itself is dirty. Clean the laser first then tilt you machine on a 45 degree angle (back end up) and reset the game. You see this forces the laser closer to the disk and allows it to read the data. If this works, its the alignment problem..Better off just elevating your machine than screwing with the laser correction issue. Good luck
