getting pi###d of with patching please help.
i am starting to give up on patching
for some reason every game ive tried to patch tells me the patch is no suitable i am useing the right one (PAL) so far ive tried dino crisis, f1 2000, and mission impossalbe, all the games i have tried to patch so far have been rented,(BLOCKBUSTER), will this make a differance? befor long the playstation and pc will be out of the window.i am using ppf to aply the patches help |

Do not use rented games, they have their own protection put onto them!

I wasn't aware of this - I have rented lots of PSX games from Blockbusters and the CD's look to be original games (they look to be exactly the same as the purchased version).
I can't imagine seperate games would be processed just for renting! Dan Littley |

I always rent the games and have never had any trouble. Mission Impossible and F1 2000 were rented from Blockbuster and I had no errors applying the patches! The only trouble I have is with Crash Bash and Spyro YOTD.........

my friend has patched rented games sucsefully you just need to make sure that it is the same country ie not spanish pal but english pal etc! when you boot up a cd it has a volume labe check it matches the ones in the patch specs!

rented games are just the same as bought ones. i use blockbuster (thanks blockbuster) all the time with no problems

so when i wanted to backup dino crisis from blockbuster and used the ntsc patch on it and it still didn't work it might have been a game from a different country thats y it didn't work?
