if you have problems with aSxDOX crack for 1.15 try disabling Data Execution Prevention (DEP)

dep should not be an issue, the loader does actually allocate the memory as PAGE_EXECUTE_READWRITE, so dep is fine, the game itself could have bugs, crashes with 0xc0000005 exception i've seen a few times, that isn't from the loader though..

dep (/nx) only causes an issue if the area the eip is pointing to is not marked as executable (such as the stack etc)...

and last time i checked if the ep of an exe is not marked in an executable section (which this one is not), then i think windows disables dep for the process... same as if the executable has sections it knows are protection sections such as the .stxtxxx from safedisc..

open up ntdll.dll and so a search for the safedisc 'BoG' tag, then xreference it... (only if you're xp sp2 or higher.. cos dep isnt active in xp sp1 or lower).. then you'll find how laughable dep is, because all the malware authors have to do is make 'safedisc' like sections in the executable and dep goes completely out the window...

hope none of you evil people out there get ideas from that...

you seem a lot knowledgable from what i see.

i have installed the asx crack and so far it works...until someone does what reloaded does i welcome any type of crack that does not involve mounting virtual disks or using some type of antiblacklisting agent to make the game work.and there does not seem to be an virus in it..I guess tippex is just jealous at the way it was done...can't accept that maybe someone out there is more "capable" than him.

GIMME A HELL YEAH!!!! for the cracker who did this. hope many more to come and more for TQ and further crappy patches that they do. ahahahahahahahha

of course we ill have to wait and see if the crack does hold up when you play the game for a while..i played a few minutes and it seemed ok..will have to give game a good test to see if crack is worth it.

that's the problem. I wrote it works fine for me, but after around 45minutes TQ crashed...
So there's only one solution that works for me: the one using alkisecurom, deamon tools and the bender-image. I've played over 2 hours without any problem.

well seems like a some ppl having no knowledge about the topic are posting crap...
for some people the crack works for some it doesn´t (check some backup forums on the net). it just isn´t a "PROPER" fix, it´s more a work-around. if it works for you, be happy...

ermmm jealous about the way it was done? read tippex´s posts again, he explained why the fix can cause problems... so why beeing jealous about a crack wich doesn´t even work for everyone as it should?

Just a recap for others.

Download Patch and crack for 1.15 (Look for links in earlier posts)
Install Titan Quest
Install patch for 1.01 -> 1.15
Copy _asxdox Folder into TQ install directory
Tip --> Keep a copy of original exe in folder for future updates.
Copy cracked Titan Quest.exe into install directory over-writing original.

No need for anything else.... well for me anyway

nope you guess wrong, back when i did do cracks i took great care they worked on all os's, and were 'clean' or as clean as they could be, so i'd look upon this one as a 'quality control, its badly coded, and prone to error.. and if you look at the disassembly you really can't argue about that (given i outlined the issues), as for capable, thats up to the audience

I thought right mouse click on My Computer -> properties -> advanced -> system performance.

Einfach die Eigenschaften des Arbeitsplatzes anzeigen und dann Erweitert -> Einstellung bei Systemleistung und Datensausführungsverhinderung.

Went through

-3 three patches
-3 game reinstalls
-3 times restarting the game, with a new character

Yesterday i just reached level 8. After 2 hours of playing I quit the game and had lunch. But, later that day...surprise..my character was gone! I mean nothing, no saves !.
