Most likely some files were either corrupted somehow, or missing. I would try to recopy the disk to the HDD through dvd2xbox. It gives an error when files are not copied and also autopatches games. You might want to try clear the x, y, and z drives. Cache problems have been know to freeze some games.

Yep, that worked.
I also noticed a media directory that got copied over that was not there before ony my HDD, I guess I forgot to copy that over when I was doing it manually >.< The game is still merciless as ever though, I dont think I will ever beat it...
