Thanks a lot for the help everyone. I tried installing the fix patch, then only overwriting part of that patch with the no-cd patch, with no success.

Or buy an ATI card that doesn't have this problem:
![]() Nightmare is right, it's not the NoCD but must be your driver. This screenshot was taken today using my v1.2 NoCD (Non GeForce patch), ATI X850 and CAT 6.8 and NO compatability mode set. Did you apply the v1.2 patch for GeForce cards? It should be named ff8sqeanvpatch.zip. You could also try running the config program and disabling various graphic options to see if one of them is causing the problem. |

I do believe you can play FF8 in software mode which will eliminate this problem with newer GFX cards.

Maybe try checking nVidia's support page.
There are settings in the new nVidia control panel to resolve this. |
