does it matter about the protection system. Are you ment to install it. Plus I mounted the image on the laptop and its connected to my pc through a LAN. I shared the virtual drive on the laptop and mounted the file. I then used my desktop pc and started the install but the file is taking ages to install because its going over the LAN, is there away to speed it up.
cheers

the fastest way would be to install from your original CD/DVD and not from an image mounted over a network. (well, that actually depends on how fast your network connection is..)

Please tell me as soon as possible!!
Thank you

The first one used an old version of pid that could not identify the complete version number of securom.

cdkey stuff is only found as a string in the exe files. Maybe it belongs to securom.

Yeah I knew that....But I wasn't thinking before seeing the screenshot to the fact that if they changed SF4 to SecuROM, maybe they added Serial key since most SecuROM games has one...... And then it made me doubt about the fact that if they did so, maybe Europe and American versions wouldn't be compatible together cause of the CD-KEY verification that American version could have of more....

Oh guys, I'm so happy that the US Version is SecuRom protected and not StarForce.
Damn that crap StarForce!
So now we just have to wait for a good crack by reloaded (which will come out soon I think/hope)

From what I've read at one of the Flatout forums, no, the US and European versions are not compatible at this time. They say a patch will be coming to fix that.

The American version supposedly has some updated code not found in the European version and the patch will even things up when it's released so they'll be compatible online.

I too am so glad that the US version doesn't use SF, ecstatic actually, as this is my most anticipated game of the year for the PC. I'm heading out to my local EB in just a few minutes to get it. Not only does using Securom7 raise the chance for a possibility of a NoCD crack in the future, but it also will not destroy my PC like SF can.
