I asked MB-Soft if they plan to realese a new version of Pr0t.St0p and got the following reply:

also ich denke schon das bald eine neue Version von Pr0t.St0p kommt nur erstmal hat MB-Lock oberste priorität. Wir werden uns natürlich dann ins zeug legen um die neusten Kopierschutzmechanismen zu unterstützen

Which means that there could be a new version soon but right now MB-Lock has the highest priority. After they released MB-Lock they want to concentrate on Pr0t.St0p to make it work with (or against) the latest protection.

At least there is some hope now.

I got Darkstar One working now with the latest patch 1.1.

You have to use the old D-Tools 3.47 + Virtual CD Hide 1.0.0.4 to hide the D-Tool drive and than you can play Darkstar One after mounting the Mini-Image.

Try it yourself.
