Before u are gonna try this directly then u should first uninstall Flatout 2 if u have it installed. Also remove everything in your register of Flatout 2. When u then follow each step then u can make it to work.

The most usefull is to burn the blindwrite 6 image to a dvd and make an .mdf file of that dvd with Alcohol 120% so u can mount it in Daemon Tools.

If it isn't working contact me at speeder.daowner********com

For all who make it working, yeah i know im good to share that information with others.

not worked

Flatout 2 WORKS on vista beta 2 +spd 1.25 driver and an mds mdf file...

Instrucions:

Get the daemon plugin to mount bw6 images...(go to daemon forum and search)
you install this by overwritting the dll file in C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\Plugins\Images\bw5mount.dll...(hxxp://www.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/~dtbartle/bw5mount.zip) [daemon must be off in order to properly overwrite the new dll file ;-) ]
Then mount the bw6 flatout 2 image in daemon.
Now go to alchool 120 run the image creation wizard don´t change any setting, and create an image of flatout in mdf format....
Now go to hxxp://www.copybase.ch/PHPV2/Database/Dpm.Download/1514 and download this mini image made from an original flatout 2 disk...
Rename this mini image to match the name of your mdf image.
I have my optical drives unplugged from power supply so i don´t know if it works with drives plugged in...
Now mount this renamed image in daemon with all emulation options off and PLAY.

This works on vista beta 2 build 5384 ( the public beta from microsoft site )

I hope i helped you guys

I don't understand why the game manufacturers don't just put a blank DVD in the case with a copy of the game on it! Thus having two DVD and no need for a backup. Simple really!
