How am I supposed to play the game if it reads my CD as a backup? I had DT instsalled and figured it's just thinking my CD was an image, but after I uninstalled DT and reinstalled Titan Quest, it's still saying I'm using a backup!
I really wish I could make a request for a executable cr*ck, virtual drives don't work on my computer so using a backup image is impossible. To anyone who reads this and has knowledge or information on creating or editing .exe, please PM me or post it up! *beg*

I'm trying the mini-image/curerom/dt method on another computer that has working virtual drives, but it still detects DT. I also tried the pr0t.st0p and asr.exe method with no positive results (same error). I used 2 different mini-images on both methods and still can't play. *cries* This CD is cursed, it'll allow me to install the game, but won't let me play it!

After the Patch COnfirmation
Hi, I am a long time user of your website and long time reader of your forums. Recently I had purchased Titan Quest and have not had any issues. Having kids , I usually take extra precaution and play my games with no cd files so that I can keep my origianl disks away from my kids who do use the PC alot, specially when I am at work. Recently there was a patch that was sent out which I was able to install with no issues but I had to get my original disk back from my closet so that I can continue on playing the game. I have found a resolution on this thanks to Sheppard from the Original Titan Quest Forum whom posted the following which I would like to share with those of you here whom are having the same problem I just mentioned after installing the patch.
Install the game. Patch the game (stand alone). Download Curerom 2.03.1 Download BOTH mini images from GameCopyWorld. Download DaemonTools 4.03HE Install Curerom and make a new profile. When you click next, make sure the option to "not show daemon tools" is set from the drop down box. Set up your CureROM profile to point at the Titan quest.exe file. and check the anti blacklist feature. At this point I was able to create the shortcut to the desktop, Mount one of the two miniimages (you must try both, only one worked for me)(the one that worked for me was the (mcz-tqmi.mds) file Turn all emulation options OFF in daemon tools, close daemon tools, then click the shortcut you created on your desktop. This took me to the main menu and I could play. Now I play without my CD and back to the closet it goes hehe.. good luck guys. |

ppl who have problems with blacklisting: checkout the new blindwrite 6 with the ez-play compontent - it works like a permament pr0t.st0p

Same here: After updating to version 1.08 it does not start with org. DVD because it sees "Emulator Software". With Mini Image it crashes every few minutes.
It seems that this shitty piece of Software has problems with Intel Core Duo CPUs - I looked into several forums and all user with Intel Core Duo CPUs have the same Problems - so the Mini Image is not the Problem . . . Greetings, 007 |
