Thats cause MS has a new way of making you cringe lol
I have had machines in my shop with illegal Windows and a msg telling them 30 days before buying a legit windows. Its so funny and they expect me to fix it.... Sure Windows Home £59 or Professional £89 lol |

You should've hex-edited the necessary file to change the warning message to something funnier.
Also, perhaps, M$ is using simple copy protections because they cannot afford to buy more professional ones like Starforce; or, perhaps, they don't have enough people at the user support department to solve the usual problems of (even legitimate users of products protected by) Starforce.

Hi,
there was a statement why they use smarte and not starforce or somenthing, they just said that if somebody likes to pirate a game he will do it, no matter which protection is on the game
