Tomb Raider: Legend 1.1 wont run with image

There will be no no-cd for Tomb Raider Legend 1.1 Because Patch is using newest Securom module.

It is possible to run Tomb Raider Legend 1.1 with the mini-image:
I started TRL 1.1 with Filemon running and i saw that the trl.exe was looking for the AntiSecuROM.dll. So i renamed the DLL and AntiSecuROM.exe and also edited the EXE with an hex editor (to find the renamed DLL). Et voilà: Tomb Raider Legend 1.1 now working with the GCW mini-image mounted in DT 4.03 .

mmm slow slow please first of all i have trying to run filemon with securom games and i get secure module error so filemon is blacklisted and how you rename the exe file i think is only posible with decompiler programs and i think securom not only check file names they check much more files to see if any antiblaclist is running , so if is work for you, share the modifies files and see if is true

Yes... Filemon is blacklisted - but it seems like if you run both, SecuROM-Loader and Filemon, the game wont give you a error message... it just close itself without any message (dunno why). But in Filemon you can see, that it finds the AntiSecuROM.dll before it closes.

I guess a disassembler is needed if you try to modify CureROM - it seems like thats what someone did, who wrote this in the CureROM forum (or maybe he disassembled the trl.exe - im not sure):

TRL 1.1 checks for CureRom.dll. If it finds it, it just quits without any notice.
I saw this with filemon (from SysInternals), started directly after trl.exe.
I tried renaming the dll so it cannot find it, but damn... it still quits.
Then I replaced all strings from CureRom to LureRom and it does work.
Perhaps CureRom 2 will fix it without going into this much trouble.

This is what i tried - but CureROM needs to be disassembled... to hard for me to do and even (i assume) not quite legal. So i used SecuROM-Loader cause the dll-call seems to be written in plain text - this is the result. I got a few confirmations that it works, but dont know if it works for all people ...

I needn't to use Filemon or SecuROM-loader for this method, right?

No... it's even more simple. You don't need CureROM (cause the current version won't work and the future version is not available until yet). The thread from the CureROM forum is only where i've got that idea from...
The only thing you need is the AlkiSecuROM.rar (and DAEMON Tools 4.03 + GCW mini-image of course). Just mount the mini-Image in DT 4.03, extract the RAR and run AlkiSecuROM.exe. It will ask you for the SecuROM-protected game-exe - so choose the trl.exe and... that's it. The Game should start (hopefully )...

what is alkisecurom and where do i get it if it is anti securom you are talking about i have tried this and it dont work

I am unable to run Tomb Raider - Legend v1.1 on 2 out of the 3 computers in my house. Using v1.0 is not an option because 1.1 is what came on the disc. I've tried using the original disc, both mini-images, the maxi-image, an image I made myself, DT 4.03, alkiSecuRom, cureRom 1.3, cureRom2.0, the 1.0 fixed exe and the 1.1 fixed exe. I have even tried disabling my dvd-rom drives. I have not tried physically unplugging them as that does not seem like a viable solution to me.

The 1.1 fixed exe is the only thing that would even get the game to run, but as others have pointed out it crashes when you attempt to use the grappling hook.

What are the chances of a fixed fixed exe being released?

On my main computer, even the fixed exe still crashed. What I had to do was copy hid.dll from the working computer's c:\windows\system32 directory and put it in my tomb raider directory. This particular issue probably has something to do with my unusual game controller configuration.

the fixed eXe 1.1 no DVD don't run correctly , crashes with grappling hook !
but the original 1.1 exe works with with the mini image and the "alkisecurom" loader on my system (intel p4 cpu) without any bug ...
